The Spices Board, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, has released Notification No. 12/2026 for the selection of Trainee (Development) at various offices of the Spices Board. A total of 21 Trainee (Development) positions are available across various offices under the Gangtok, Sakleshpur, Guwahati and Other Region offices. The recruitment is exclusively for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. Spices Board Trainee Development Recruitment 2026 - Eligibility

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Botany, Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognized University/Institute.

Candidates must also have working knowledge of computers.

The recruitment is exclusively for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.

Spices Board Trainee Development Age Limit 2026

The candidate's age should be not more than 35 years as on the date of the Written Test.

Spices Board Trainee Development Stipend 2026

Selected candidates will receive a stipend of Rs. 20,000 per month.

In case of travel to spice fields, TA will be paid as specified in the notification.

Spices Board Trainee Development Training Period

The period of training is two years from the date of joining.

Candidates are eligible for one day of leave per month during the training period.

Spices Board Trainee Development Selection Process 2026

The selection process includes a Written Test / Walk-in Test and certificate verification.

Candidates must submit their application online before appearing for the test. Candidates are required to report at the test venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled time for certificate verification.

Candidates must bring all original documents and certificates along with one set of self-attested copies relating to identity, age and educational qualifications.
