Post-wise Honorarium Details
1. Professor (Retired Professor):
- Work: At least 35 classes/month and research guidance with administrative responsibility
- Honorarium: Rs. 50,000/- per month
2. Associate Professor (Retired Professor/Associate Professor):
- Work: At least 35 classes/month and research guidance with administrative responsibility
- Honorarium: Rs. 40,000/- per month
3. Assistant Professor Guest Faculty (With Ph.D. Degree) for PG courses:
- Work: Teaching (If more than 40 classes, administrative assignment from next month)
- Honorarium: Rs. 1,000/- per class (Maximum 60 classes/month = Rs. 60,000/- Max.)
4. Assistant Professor Guest Faculty (Without Ph.D.) for PG/UG Courses:
- Work: Teaching (Preference to NET qualified)
- Honorarium: Rs. 750/- per class (Maximum 60 classes = Rs. 45,000/- Max.)
Note: No other allowances or financial benefits are allowed.
Educational Qualification
- As per UGC Guidelines, 2018
- Preference: Candidates with Ph.D./NET qualification
- Alternative: In case of non-availability, candidates with Post-Graduate Degree with good academic record will be considered
- For Assistant Professor (with Ph.D.): Ph.D. Degree required for PG courses
- For Assistant Professor (without Ph.D.): Post-Graduate Degree (preference to NET qualified)
Tenure and Service Conditions
Tenure of Engagement
- From 01.07.2026 to 31.05.2027 or till vacancy filled in regular manner, whichever is earlier
- Continuation subject to satisfactory performance during quarterly review
- Retired Faculty may continue till 70 years of age, subject to periodical performance review
- Purely temporary - will NOT lead to regular/contractual/ad-hoc appointment
Service Conditions
- 10 days leave in a year for Guest Faculty
- Payment of all statutory taxes including income tax is sole responsibility of Guest Faculty
- TDS will be deducted by University at applicable rates
- No other allowances or financial benefits allowed
Duties and Responsibilities
- Teaching courses, conducting examination and research guidance
- Guide research projects of UG and PG students
- Can be Co-guide for Ph.D. based on qualifications and experience
- Conducting research and sponsored research projects
- Launching continuing education programs
- Organizing/attending Conferences/Seminars/Workshops (no financial commitment from University)
- Knowledge-based advisory/consultancy assignments as per University guidelines
- Delivering guest lectures at other institutions
- Participation in academic/research Committees when required
- NOT eligible for administrative or financial responsibilities
- Other assignments by HoD/Coordinator/Principal
Selection Procedure
Selection based on evaluation of following criteria (Total 100 Marks):
- General Career (HSC, Intermediate, Degree etc.): 30 Marks
- Research Degree (M.Phil, Ph.D. etc.): 20 Marks
- Demo Class (5-10 minutes duration): 15 Marks
- Research Publication: 15 Marks (International: 10 marks, National: 05 marks)
- Viva-Voce (Interview): 20 Marks
