Punjab and Sind Bank has released the official notification for Lateral Recruitment of Specialist Officers – Security in MMGS II on Regular Basis. The bank has invited online applications for the post of Security Manager in MMGS II scale.

Eligibility Criteria

Nationality

• A candidate must be a Citizen of India, or
• A subject of Nepal, or
• A subject of Bhutan, or
• A Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
• A person of Indian origin who migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 23 years
• Maximum Age: 35 years
• Age will be calculated as on 01.04.2026.
• Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.04.1991 and not later than 01.04.2003 (both dates inclusive).

Age Relaxation

Educational Qualification

• Graduate in any discipline from a recognized University.
• The candidate must possess valid mark sheet / degree certificate proving graduation on the day of online registration.

Work Experience

• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience as a Commissioned Officer in the Indian Army (Captain) / Navy (Lieutenant) / Air Force (Flight Lieutenant).
• OR a Gazetted Police Officer not below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police or Assistant Commandant of Paramilitary Forces such as BSF / CRPF / ITBP / CISF / SSB etc. with minimum 5 years of service.

Note: Candidates who have been terminated or removed from service by a previous employer will not be considered eligible for this position.

Job Role of Security Manager

• Implementation of security measures in the Bank
• Liaising with Police and other Security Authorities
• Training Armed Guards at Zonal Offices and Branches

Reservation

• Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidates will be provided as per Government guidelines.
• There is no reservation for Ex-Servicemen in Officers’ Cadre.
• Present employees of Punjab and Sind Bank are not eligible for this post.
• Category once selected in the online application cannot be changed later.

Salary / Pay Scale

Manager – MMGS II: ₹64820-2340/1-67160-2680/10-93960

In addition to basic pay, DA, HRA / leased accommodation, CCA, medical benefits, LTC, terminal benefits, and other perquisites will be paid as per bank rules in force from time to time.

Probation Period and Service Bond

• The selected candidate must execute a service bond.
• One surety of equal amount acceptable to the Bank must also be furnished before joining.
• If the candidate resigns before completion of the bond period, the bond amount will have to be paid to the Bank.

Written Test Pattern

Minimum Qualifying Marks

• Unreserved & EWS: 40% in each section
• Reserved Categories: 35% in each section

Final Merit

• Candidates must qualify in both written test and interview separately.
• Written Test carries 70% weightage.
• Personal Interview carries 30% weightage.
• Final merit list will be prepared state-wise after converting and aggregating scores out of 100.
