Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has released Advertisement No. CRA 316/26 for the recruitment of 622 Junior Engineer/Electrical posts. PSPCL is inviting online applications from eligible young and dynamic candidates for these vacancies.

The online application process will begin on 20 April 2026. The last date for online registration and submission of application is 10 May 2026, while the last date to deposit the application fee is 15 May 2026. Educational Qualification

• Full Time Regular 3 or 4 years Diploma in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a State/Central Government recognized institute with minimum 60% marks.
• OR B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc Engineering in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering with minimum 50% marks.
• OR AMIE in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering with at least 50% marks from Institution of Engineers (India), Calcutta.
• Candidates must possess the required qualification on or before the last date of online application.

Punjabi Language Requirement

Candidates must have passed Punjabi at least up to Matriculation or equivalent level on or before the last date of registration/submission of online application.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 37 years
• Age will be calculated as on 01 January 2026.

Upper Age Relaxation

• SC and Backward Class: 5 years
• Physically Handicapped: 10 years
• Certain categories of women: up to 40 years
• Serving employees of PSPCL/PSTCL/Punjab Government: as per service rendered
• Ex-servicemen: as per Punjab Government rules

Salary

The minimum/basic pay for the post is ₹35,400 per month as per 7th CPC/Pay Matrix and PSPCL financial circular. During the probation period, newly appointed candidates will be paid minimum admissible pay only as per applicable Punjab Government instructions.

Probation Period

The probation period for the post will be 3 years or as per Punjab Government instructions issued from time to time.

Application Fee

Fee will be accepted through online mode only. The application will be treated as complete only after successful fee payment.

Scheme of Examination

Exam Pattern

• The paper will have 100 objective type multiple-choice questions.
• Each correct answer will carry 1 mark.
• There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
• Exam duration will be 2 hours (120 minutes).

Minimum Qualifying Marks

• General Category: 45%
• Reserved Categories: 35%

Merit List

The merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the online examination after normalization, if applicable. In case two or more candidates secure the same marks, the older candidate will be placed higher in merit.

Document Checking

Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the online test will be called for document checking. They must produce original documents and also submit self-attested photocopies. Mere calling for document checking does not guarantee selection.
