J&K Bank Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Notification Out for 614 Posts

Jammu & Kashmir Bank has released the official notification for engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the year 2026-27. As per the notification, a total of 614 vacancies have been announced. Eligible candidates can apply online from 20-04-2026 to 26-04-2026. The date of the online examination will be communicated separately. Selected candidates will be engaged under the NATS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme) for a period of one year in the branches and offices of the Bank in the respective districts or regions.

Candidates must be graduates from a recognized university or institute and should have passed graduation on or after 01-01-2022. The age limit is 20 to 28 years as on 01-01-2026, with relaxation for reserved categories as per Government guidelines. The selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 13,500/-, including the Bank’s share and Government share, subject to the terms mentioned in the notification.

A total of 614 apprentice vacancies have been announced. Out of these, 461 vacancies are for the UT of Jammu & Kashmir, 18 vacancies are for the UT of Ladakh, and 135 vacancies are for clusters outside J&K and Ladakh.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate must be a Graduate from a recognized University/Institute.
• Candidate must have passed graduation on or after 01-01-2022.
• Candidate should be proficient in the local/official language of the respective region/area and should have studied it as a subject in the 10th or 12th.
• Minimum age should be 20 years and maximum age should be 28 years as on 01-01-2026.
• Upper age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other categories will be applicable as per Government guidelines.

Training Duration

The apprenticeship training duration will be 12 months. After completion of the apprenticeship period, the apprentices will be relieved from the respective work places.

Stipend

• Monthly stipend: Rs. 13,500/-
• Bank Share: Rs. 9,000/-
• Government Share: Rs. 4,500/- through DBT to eligible candidates
• Conveyance entitlement up to Rs. 1,250/- per month
• No other allowances or benefits will be payable.

Note: The Government DBT amount of Rs. 4,500/- will be paid only for apprentices whose age is less than 35 years as on the date of issuance of online contract through the apprenticeship portal, if shortlisted.

Application Fee

The application fee is to be paid through online mode only. No other mode of payment will be accepted. The fee is non-refundable and inclusive of GST.

Selection Process

The engagement of apprentices will be based on the merit obtained in the online written examination. Merit list will be prepared district/region and category wise.

Online Exam Pattern

There will be a penalty for wrong answers. For every wrong answer, 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. No penalty will be applied for unanswered questions. In case of a tie in marks, candidates will be ranked according to age in descending order.

• Delhi / Delhi NCR
• Mumbai / Navi Mumbai / Thane / MMR

No request for change of centre, venue, date, or session will be entertained.

How to Apply

1. First register on the apprenticeship portal jkb.bank.in.
2. Complete 100% of your profile on the apprenticeship portal.
3. Ensure your mobile number, Aadhaar, and bank account are inter-linked and DBT enabled.
4. Then visit the official J&K Bank website and apply online under the careers section.
5. Click on the link for Engagement of Apprentices.
6. Complete new registration by entering your name, contact details, and email ID.
7. Fill the online application form carefully.
8. Upload scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration.
9. Pay the applicable online application fee.
10. Submit the application form and take a printout for future reference.

Important Terms and Conditions

• Candidate can apply for only one district/area. If more than one application is submitted, the latest application will be considered.
• Candidate selected for the applied district/area shall not be given training in any other district/area, though the Bank reserves the right to allot training seat in any district as per administrative requirement.
• Only 12 days casual leave will be available during the apprenticeship period.
• Candidate having job experience of one year or more after acquiring qualification will not be eligible.
• Apprentices shall have no right to claim employment in the Bank after completion of training.
