DRDO GTRE Apprentice Recruitment 2026 Walk-in Interview for 150 Posts
Gas Turbine Research Establishment (GTRE), Bengaluru under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Ministry of Defence, Government of India has released Advertisement No. GTRE/APP-TRG/2026-27/HRD-026 for engagement of Apprentice Trainees for the financial year 2026-27 under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
A total of 150 Apprentice vacancies have been announced for Graduate Engineering, Diploma Engineering, ITI Trade and Graduate General Stream candidates. Eligible Indian Nationals registered on the NATS/NAPS portal can attend the walk-in interview on 06 June 2026 at GTRE Bengaluru.

Educational Qualification
- Graduate Engineering candidates should possess BE/B.Tech degree in relevant discipline from recognized university/institution.
- Diploma candidates should possess Diploma in Engineering or Technology in relevant discipline.
- ITI candidates should possess ITI certificate recognized by NCVT in relevant trade.
- Graduate General Stream candidates should possess degree in relevant stream from recognized university.
- Candidates must have passed the qualifying examination in the year 2022 or later.
- Only regular course candidates are eligible.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 Years
- Maximum age will be applicable as per Government of India rules.
Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates must be registered on NATS or NAPS portal.
- ITI candidates must register on NAPS Portal.
- Graduate and Diploma candidates must register on NATS Portal.
- Candidates with higher qualifications are not eligible.
- Candidates having one year or more job/training experience after qualification are not eligible.
- Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training are not eligible.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting Based on Academic Merit
- Written Test (if required)
- Walk-in Interview
- Document Verification
The final selection will depend on merit, interview performance and verification of original documents.
Stipend Details
Selected apprentices will receive stipend as per the Government of India Apprenticeship Rules.
Training Duration
- The apprenticeship training period will be one year.
- No employment guarantee will be provided after completion of apprenticeship training.
