BSNL JTO Telecom Recruitment 2026: Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has released Advertisement No. BSNLCO-11/2/1/2026-RECTT-CO dated 26 May 2026 for direct recruitment of Junior Telecom Officer (Telecom) from open market. As per the notification, BSNL will fill 100 JTO Telecom posts through an all-India Computer Based Test.

Out of the total posts, horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities includes 3 vacancies for Deaf or Hard of Hearing impairment and 2 vacancies for Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy.

Salary
The Junior Telecom Officer (Telecom) will be recruited in the IDA pay scale E-1 of Rs. 16,400 - 40,500 under the 2nd PRC pay scale with effect from 01 January 2007.
Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification
Candidates must possess Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent from a Central Government or State Government recognized institution/university in any of the following disciplines:
- Telecommunications
- Electronics
- Radio
- Computer
- Electrical
- Information Technology (IT)
- Instrumentation

- M.Sc. Electronics
- M.Sc. Computer Science
- Candidates with higher qualification such as M.Tech in the prescribed disciplines are also eligible.
- The candidate must possess the required educational qualification on the closing date of application.
- The applicant must be capable of distinguishing principal colours and should have binocular vision.

Selection Process
The selection process for BSNL JTO Telecom Recruitment 2026 consists of the following stages:
- Computer Based Multiple Choice Objective Type Test
- Document Verification
- Medical Examination
Final merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in all three sections of the CBT, subject to securing the minimum qualifying marks in each section and overall.
Exam Pattern
The Computer Based Test will be held in one shift and will be of 3 hours duration.

Bond, Training and Probation
- Selected candidates will have to execute a bond of Rs. 6,00,000 to serve BSNL for at least 5 years from the date of appointment.
- The probation period will be 2 years.
- Candidates must successfully undergo pre-appointment training.
- Training structure includes 10 weeks Phase-I training, 4 weeks field training and 6 weeks Phase-II training specialization course.

How to Apply
- Visit the official registration portal at www.externalexam.bsnl.co.in.
- Complete the online registration process using a valid mobile number and email ID.
- Fill the online application form carefully.
- Upload scanned copies of recent passport-size photograph, signature, 10th certificate, degree certificate, consolidated marksheet, photo ID proof and reservation certificates if applicable.
- Select your preferred BSNL circles in order of preference, up to 21 choices.
- Pay the application fee through online mode.
- Submit the form and take a printout of the registration slip for future reference.

- Class 10 certificate for date of birth proof.

The exam will be held in 27 cities including Port Blair, Vijayawada, Guwahati, Patna, Chennai, Raipur, Ahmedabad, Ambala, Shimla, Jammu, Ranchi, Bangalore, Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata, Bhopal, Mumbai, Shillong, Dimapur, New Delhi, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Gangtok, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Meerut and Dehradun. Candidates can choose only one examination city.
Important Instructions
- Only online applications will be accepted. No manual application will be entertained.
- In case of multiple registrations, the latest application number will be treated as final.
- No request for withdrawal of candidature will be entertained.
- Admit card can be downloaded from the registration portal and will not be sent by post or email.
- After the exam, BSNL will provide a challenge window for objections to question or answer keys with a fee of Rs. 400 per question.
