Post and Eligibility Criteria

Sports Qualification

Candidates must fulfill at least one of the following sports qualification conditions in the relevant game/sport for which recruitment is being conducted:

  • Represented a State / U.T. / the country in National or International competition
  • Medal winner in Junior National Championships
  • Medal winner in Khelo India Youth Games (age category above 18 years)
  • Medal winner in Khelo India Winter Games
  • Medal winner in Khelo India Para Games
  • Medal winner in Khelo India University Games
  • Medal winner in School Games Federation of India (SGFI) in the relevant game/sport
  • Represented the University in Inter-University Tournaments conducted by the Inter-University Sports Boards
  • Represented the State / U.T. School Team in National Sports / Games for schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation

Authorities for Sports Certificates

Sports qualification certificates should be issued only by the prescribed authorities such as:

  • Secretary of National Federation of the concerned game for international competition
  • Secretary of National Federation or State / U.T. Association for national competition
  • Dean of Sports or equivalent authority for Inter-University tournaments
  • Director / Additional Director / Joint Director / Deputy Director in charge of sports/games for school-level national participation
  • Officer designated by Sports Authority of India for Khelo India events

Reservation

The notification clearly states that there is no reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS in the advertised posts. However, age relaxation is available wherever applicable as per Government guidelines and meritorious sportsperson rules.

The application fee is non-refundable, whether or not the candidate is shortlisted for field trial.

Scale of Pay

The clerical cadre pay scale is as follows:

In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will be entitled to salary and other emoluments as per the industry-level bipartite settlement and bank policies.

Credit History Requirement

Candidates applying for the post must maintain a satisfactory credit history. A minimum CIBIL score of 680 or above is required at the time of joining. Candidates with loan defaults, adverse credit reports, or poor credit profile may be declared ineligible.

Probation Period

The selected candidate will be on probation for a period of 6 months of active service from the date of joining the bank.

  • Any subsequent selection stage, if required by the bank

The bank will shortlist candidates based on qualifications, sports credentials, relevant experience, specialization, skill suitability, and internal criteria. Merely meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee a call for field trial.

Field Trial

Shortlisted candidates will be called for field trials at a designated venue. The evaluation criteria and cut-off for field trials will be decided solely by the bank. Details such as date, venue, and timing will be sent through call letter on the registered email ID.

Obligations of Selected Sportspersons

  • The selected sportsperson must remain an active sportsperson and fit enough to participate in future tournaments/events.
  • The selected candidate will be required to play for the Bank / Bank’s team whenever required.
  • Prior permission from the bank is necessary for participation in outside sports events.
  • Refusal to play for the bank team or playing elsewhere without permission may amount to misconduct and attract disciplinary action.
  • Selected candidates must give a written undertaking regarding these obligations at the time of appointment.
