ALIMCO Apprentice Recruitment 2026 - Apply for 89 ITI and Diploma Apprentice Posts

Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), a Mini Ratna Central PSU under the Government of India, has released a notification for engagement of ITI and Diploma Apprentices under the Apprenticeship Act at its headquarters in Kanpur.

The apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year. Applications are invited for various ITI trades such as Fitter, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Machinist, Turner, Welder, Mechanic Machine Tool Maintenance, Plumber, COPA, Sheet Metal Worker and Plastic Processing Operator, along with Diploma Apprentice trades in Engineering and Office Management streams.

The last date for receipt of application forms through Speed Post / Registered Post / Courier is 11 May 2026. Applications received after the last date will not be considered.

ITI Apprentice Trades – 74 Posts

Note: Out of the above ITI seats, 2 seats are reserved for PwBD candidates.

Diploma Apprentice Trades – 15 Posts

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 18 Years
• Maximum Age: 25 Years
• Age will be reckoned as on 01.04.2026.

Age Relaxation

• SC / ST: 5 years
• OBC: 3 years
• PwD: 10 years

For ITI Apprentice

• Passed 10th with Science and Mathematics under 10+2 system with minimum 50% marks.
• Must possess NCVT / SCVT certificate in the relevant ITI trade with minimum 50% marks.

For Diploma Apprentice

• Passed 10th with Science and Mathematics under 10+2 system with minimum 50% marks.
• Must possess full-time Diploma certificate in the relevant branch issued by AICTE / UGC / State Government / Central Government recognized institution with minimum 50% marks.

Other Important Eligibility Conditions

• The candidate must be an Indian citizen.
• Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible.
• Candidates having one year or more work experience are not eligible.
• Candidates must have a valid PAN Card.
• Diploma candidates passed in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025 are eligible as per BOAT directions.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be done through interview. The selection committee will assess candidates based on qualification, technical knowledge, and interview performance.

• Shortlisting will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the prescribed qualification.
• Shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
• Final selection will be made through a common merit list recommended by the selection committee.

Stipend

Selected apprentices will be paid stipend as per Apprenticeship Act and Government of India rules. The exact stipend amount is not separately mentioned in the visible notification pages.

Training Duration

The apprenticeship training period will be one year.

   • Diploma candidates: www.nats.education.gov.in
2. Download the prescribed application form from the ALIMCO website.
3. Fill the application form carefully with all required details.
4. Attach self-attested photocopies of required certificates.
5. Send the completed application form through Speed Post / Registered Post / Courier / Ordinary Post so as to reach on or before 11/05/2026.
6. Applications by hand or email will not be accepted.
