Qualification and Experience

Qualification

• Successful completion of a degree from a government-recognized University or Institution.
• Possession of an MBA or equivalent qualification, or a Diploma in Business Management or its equivalent, would be considered an additional advantage.

Essential Experience:

• Minimum of 20 years of post-basic qualification experience in a large-sized organization within the BFSI sector in India.
• A minimum of 20 years of experience in the BFSI sector, with at least 7 years in IT & Digital in senior positions.
• Preferred experience in areas such as Digital Transformation, Risk Management, Compliance Projects, and Information Security processes.

Vacancy Count

The allocation for seats in the State Bank of India (SBI) for Chief General Manager (CGM) and Deputy Chief Digital Officer vacancies is limited to one position.

Pay Details

The Annual Cost to Company (CTC) is open to negotiation and is not intended to restrict the selection of a suitable candidate. The CTC will be divided into Fixed Pay and Variable Pay in a ratio of 70:30. An annual increment in the CTC, up to 10% of the existing CTC, is contingent upon achieving satisfactory performance.

Age Criteria

The age criteria for eligibility, as of September 1, 2023, range from a minimum of 45 years to a maximum of 62 years. Prospective candidates must ensure that they fall within this specified age bracket to be considered for the opportunity.

The selection process will involve shortlisting and an interaction/interview. Following that, negotiations on the Cost to Company (CTC) will be conducted.

Shortlisting: Mere fulfillment of the minimum qualification and experience criteria does not guarantee an interview invitation. The shortlisting committee established by the Bank will determine the parameters for shortlisting. Subsequently, an adequate number of candidates, as determined by the Bank, will be shortlisted for the interview. The Bank's decision to invite candidates for the interview is final, and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. Shortlisted candidates will be notified for the interview.

Interview: The interview process will be assigned a total of 100 marks, with the qualifying marks set by the Bank. Correspondence regarding the interview marks will not be entertained.

Merit List: The merit list for selection will be arranged in descending order based on the scores obtained in the interview alone. In the event that more than one candidate achieves the cut-off marks (common marks at the cut-off point), their ranking in the merit list will be determined by their age in descending order.

CTC Negotiation: CTC negotiations will be conducted individually, following the order of the merit list established based on the marks obtained in the interview.

Application Fee

The application fees and non-refundable Intimation Charges are set at Rs 750/- (Seven Hundred Fifty only) for General/EWS/OBC candidates. There are no fees or intimation charges for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

How to apply

• Candidates must register online through the provided link on the SBI website at https://bank.sbi/careers/currentopenings and make the application fee payment using Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, etc.
• Before starting the online application, candidates need to scan their latest photograph and signature. The application will only be considered registered when the candidate uploads the photo and signature as specified on the online registration page.
• Careful filling of the application is crucial. Once completed, candidates should submit it. If unable to finish in one go, they can save the information, generating a provisional registration number and password. This should be noted down for future access to edit the application if needed. Editing is allowed three times. After completion, candidates should submit the application and proceed to pay the fee online.
• After successful online registration, candidates should print the system-generated online application forms for their reference.

• The number of vacancies, including reserved positions mentioned above, is provisional and subject to change based on the actual requirements of the Bank.
• Candidates must possess relevant full-time experience as of the specified date.
• The experience certificate from the employer should explicitly state that the candidate has experience in the required field.
• Candidates belonging to reserved categories, including Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) without specified reservations, are eligible to apply for vacancies announced for the General category, provided they meet all the eligibility criteria applicable to the General category.
• PwBD candidates should present a certificate issued by a competent authority in accordance with the Government of India Guidelines.
