Qualification

Essential Qualifications:

• The candidate should possess an M.Sc./M.Tech degree in Atmospheric Science, Meteorology, Climate Science, Geophysics, Hydrometeorology, Hydrology, Computer Engineering, Physics, or any disciplines related to Environmental Science from a recognized University/Institution with a minimum of first class (60% marks or equivalent CGPA). Additionally, applicants must have qualified in one of the following: CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test, including NET-Lectureship, and/or GATE/JAM, or equivalent national-level exams.

Desired Qualifications:

• Candidates with prior research experience in WRF modeling (WRF) and data assimilation are preferred. Familiarity with the analysis of datasets from climate models would be advantageous. Knowledge of programming languages such as FORTRAN, NCL, Python, R, and shell scripting is desirable.
