Qualification

• Currently holding analogous posts on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department or autonomous bodies; OR
• Holding posts in the pay scale of Rs. 56100-177500 with five years of regular service in the parent cadre and possessing the qualifications outlined below:
• A Ph.D. in any Social Science.
• Five years of experience in teaching or guiding research and/or five years of experience in research administration in a reputable organization.

Instructions to Fill the Online Application Form

1. The number of openings may vary.
2. Interested candidates must apply online through the ICSSR website at www.icssr.org. No other methods of application will be considered.
3. Applicants should possess a valid personal email ID and mobile number. It is advised not to share login credentials with others. Both the email ID and mobile number should remain active during the recruitment process. Eligible candidates will receive notifications via email or SMS regarding interview dates and other details.
4. Carefully complete all sections of the online application form. Upload a recent photograph and signature as instructed in the online form. After successful submission, a login ID and password will be generated and displayed on the screen. Candidates should note down these credentials for future reference.
5. Candidates are required to take a printout of the online application, affix a recent passport-sized photograph, and keep it for their records. Do not send the printed application to the ICSSR address or any other address. Submit the application printout with the affixed photograph during document verification at the interview.
6. The deadline for submitting completed applications online is 8th December 2023, until office hours.

General terms and Conditions

1. The number of positions is subject to change. ICSSR retains the authority to increase or decrease the number of positions and may choose not to fill certain post(s).
2. The specified qualifications represent the minimum requirements. Mere possession and fulfillment of the essential and desirable qualifications do not guarantee an interview/test invitation for the candidate.
3. Applicants for Deputy Director (Research) positions must submit a concise academic CV, limited to five pages. This should include a list of the ten best publications in the form of books, research papers, or reports, along with bibliographical details and information on any received scholarships.
4. Short-listed candidates for interview/test will be notified through post and email, in addition to being listed on the ICSSR website. ICSSR will not be held responsible for any postal delays.
5. Incomplete applications or those not submitted in the prescribed format will not be considered.
6. The decisions of ICSSR regarding selections are final, and no correspondence on this matter will be entertained. Any form of canvassing will lead to disqualification.
7. Deputation terms and conditions will comply with OMs/Orders from the Department of Personnel & Training and ICSSR recruitment rules.
8. The deputation/short-term contract period is initially set for three years and is extendable according to the rules.
9. For deputation/short-term contract, individuals holding equivalent posts or having completed five years of regular service in the next lower grade will be considered.
10. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short-term contract) is not to exceed 56 years as of the closing date of the application receipt.
11. ICSSR reserves the right to interpret all rules, even in cases not explicitly mentioned, and may cancel candidature without assigning any specific reason(s).
